Uniform

Uniform Information

We actively encourage our pupils to wear school uniform, especially sensible school shoes, at all times to ensure smart appearance as advocates of our school.
We have our own selection of school wear bearing the school name and motif, which are optional. These consist of sweatshirt, cardigan, white polo shirt, white t-shirt and a tracksuit.

All items of our school uniform, including PE Kits, have been chosen to ensure that they can be purchased as cheaply as possible from a variety of suppliers. Our uniform is based on standard school wear, i.e. navy, black or grey skirts or trousers with white, blue, or navy shirt, blouse or t-shirt. Jumpers and cardigans should also be in these colours. Socks or tights should be white, black, navy or grey. Summer dresses in pale blue, checks or stripes can be worn. It is really important that sensible shoes are worn as this is essential for children’s safety in school. We would therefore request that you to provide flat school shoes with a wide heel base as part of their uniform. Trainers are not acceptable as school shoes and may only be worn as part of the P.E kit. We advise children with long hair to wear this tied back or braided with functional hair ornaments.

PE Kits (details given below) should be brought into school in a small drawstring PE bag by your child on a Monday and remain in school all week so that it is available at all times.

PE Kit Uniform - Black shorts, plain white t-shirt. Bare feet are the rule in the Hall, unless a child has a verruca, in which case plimsolls/verruca sock should be worn. Jogging suits can be worn for outdoor PE but must be in suitable school colours and style. Plimsolls or trainers are required for outdoor PE. Football boots are not essential but can be worn on the field for football.

Swimming – All children in Year 4 take swimming lessons as part of the PE Curriculum. They will need a bag to hold their swimwear and towel, all of which should be clearly marked with their name.

Craft - An old shirt is useful to wear as a coverall/apron for craft activities.

There is a selection of high quality second hand uniform in school that is available for purchase ‘by donation’. Please ask at the office if you would like access to this.
