Our Class

Striped Owls Class Page:-

Hello and welcome to Striped Owls Page.

I joined Winterton Junior School in September 2014 as the new deputyhead teacher. I have been teaching a long time and I enjoy teaching and learning about lots of different things. I love solving maths problems and puzzles as well as singing and making music.

In my ‘free time’ I like to go to the theatre and watch a play, read a book or just listen to music. Now, however my weekends find me playing and looking after my grandchildren.

I also enjoy travelling, visiting different places and learning about different cultures. I have even taught a lesson in a school in China!

Look at what we're doing!

In English we will be reading lots of different texts to improve comprehension skills. It is really important that you learn your spellings every week - so don't forget to take home the red spelling book. When we are doing our writing we will be focussing on using complex sentences and fronted adverbials to make our writing interesting. I am looking forward to reading lots of different books in guided reading sessions. Try clicking on the links below to try some fun learning activities.
